ENGINEERING MANAGER: This is an Ace Manufacturing Non-ERC salary exempt position (8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., subject to change).
Position duties and functions:
- Coordinates efforts in the Engineering Department and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Dept.
- Performs administrative duties.
- Responsible for the technical and administrative direction of the engineering group in a R & D environment including assignment and development of personnel, monitoring of programs to anticipate and eliminate potential problems and providing consultative and training support to engineers and draftsmen.
- Responsible for new product development, and spearheading new products through to completion.
- Define parameters for new software purchases.
- Responsible for testing new products with our F.E.A. Software, as well as field testing.
- Interviews prospective Engineers, Designers, and Draftsman.
- Responsible for implementing ISO9001 and APQP Quality system guidelines in Engineering.
- Assist customers with technical support from time to time.
- Attend new product meetings.
- Coordinate with product managers and other groups and facilitate teamwork, cooperation and>communication within and between groups.
Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering; 5 years managerial experience; and excellent communication and organizational skills.
POWDER METALS MANAGER: This is an Ace Manufacturing Non-ERC salary exempt position (8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., subject to change).
Position duties and functions:
- Supervise the production of powdered metals, support personnel, and all labor.
- Ensure all quality and production standard requirements are met during production.
- Ensure any direction from executive committee is implemented.
- Ensure there are no deviations from baseline (work instructions).
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Recommend and implement new raw material suppliers and investigate, develop and recommend alternative raw materials.
- Ensure all new employees are properly trained.
- Develop new product lines as recommended by the APQP committee.
- Recommend and implement new equipment or equipment improvements to improve rates, improve quality, or increase efficiency.
- Develop work instructions as needed and follow and promote ISO9001.
- Ensure that inventory records are accurately maintained and cycle counts are done in a timely manner.
